Meramec Caverns

Welcome to the geological history of Missouri which lives on within these enormous caverns, which contain more than 6,000 known caves spread throughout 26 miles of underground territory.

Today, the cave is a family attraction with a gift shop, restaurant and museum. Want to carry some memories home? There is a unique and large shopping area for the entire family located inside the entrance of the cave. From traditional tourist type gifts to the more exotic, the gift shop carries it all. Among the most popular items are: rocks and minerals, T- shirts, jewelry, books, headgear, knives, clocks, pictures, slides, postcards, toys, games, etc.

The restaurant provides home style cooking, snack bar, and 28 flavors of ice cream. The restaurant can seat up to 250 people and also hosts an elegant private dining room. The huge ballroom of the caverns is host to many private events as well as ones open to the public. Even though, the ballroom is equipped with up to 2,000 chairs, stage, lighting, and sound, the walls and ceiling are limestone and stalagmites (both beautiful and unforgettable).
