Center for Medicine and Biotechnology

St. Louis of Missouri is an independent city bordered by Mississippi River and named for King Louis IX of France. It is known as the Gateway City because of its French-German past. This is where the center for medicine and biotechnology is located. The Barnes-Jewish Hospital, near Washington University School of Medicine, is the 5th largest in the world. It includes the latest and highly regarded Siteman Cancer Center. The Human Genome Project was conducted at the Genome Sequencing Center, also found in the state. Pfizer, the world’s largest pharmaceutical company, is established in West St Louis.Being the core for various experiments, present-day studies and further medical advancements makes St. Louis an outstanding state.

Children’s Awareness on Healthy Eating and Exercise

Recent health program implemented in schools throughout St. Louis involved the importance of eating well and exercise in fighting against obesity. Obesity, a crucial health problem, is a human condition described as the continuous accumulation of natural energy reserve in fatty tissue.
