St. Louis Is Not St. Louis County
The Missouri city of St. Louis should not be confused with St. Louis County – the former is a city that sits on the banks of the Mississippi River, while the latter can be found beside the city.
Not many people know this but the city of St. Louis was the first US city to ever host an Olympiad (that being the 1904 Olympics.) That was also when St. Louis hosted the World's Fair.
