Coffee Cartel, open 24 hours a day offers a variety of coffee flavors which you can never resist. You can also go there to satisfy your sweet tooth with Eddy's Ice Cream.

The bustling intersection of Maryland and Euclid avenues is a great place to people- watch. It's also smoker- friendly, although smokers may prefer to sit outside during the summer, as the smoking section inside can get a bit gamy. Drinks include the usual selection of mochas, lattes and cappuccinos as well as a wide assortment of teas, but what really makes it a great after- dinner spot or late- night sugar craving solution is the large dessert counter, which brims with cheesecakes, carrot cake and Eddy's ice cream.

With more than 20 tables outdoors, a customer can watch and/or stop traffic while they read or study, as hordes of Wash U. Students often do. Inside, there are plenty of tables and couches, including a separate room that is home to smokers and video games. Best of all, the Coffee Cartel is open 24 hours.
